Trip to Duxbury, VT Nov. 11

I dropped off a load of donations in Duxbury, VT and talked with some local folks about the rebuilding efforts. There are still a lot of people that are displaced, and some folks are having trouble receiving insurance money or rebuilding their homes. We heard stories of homeowners handing their keys to the bank in exasperation because "we can't fix it and we can't sell it".

All of the mobile homes in Patterson Park were slated to be destroyed and were marked for destruction.

Nearly every house on Randall Street in Waterbury was under repair with so money construction trucks you nearly couldn't drive down it. See this article for more info.
